Alcohol and other vices

One cannot honestly claim to be using alcohol, smoking or marijuana for any purpose other than to falsely intoxicate oneself even to lose self control. One of these vices  are  not getting you closer to God by being intoxicated , but rather now moving yourself farther away from Him. You’re doing the weed for solely YOURSELF, just serving the sinful sinful self, thebad flesh now in reality. You are to die to self, the flesh and all of it’s lust thereof as a Christian now firstlllllllll still too. The ends do not justify now the means still as well.

  • (Num 6:3 KJV) He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried.

    (Isa 28:1 KJV) Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

    (Isa 28:7 KJV) But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

    (Isa 56:12 KJV) Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

    (Hosea 4:11 KJV) Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.

    (Titus 1:7 KJV) For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
    (Psa 4:7 KJV) Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

    (Psa 60:3 KJV) Thou hast showed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

    (Psa 75:8 KJV) For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

    (Psa 78:65 KJV) Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.

    (Psa 104:15 KJV) And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

    (Prov 4:17 KJV) For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

    (Prov 20:1 KJV) Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

    (Prov 21:17 KJV) He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

    (Prov 23:30 KJV) They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.

    (Prov 23:31 KJV) Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. 32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. :33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things. 34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast. 35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.

    (Prov 31:4 KJV) It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:

    (Prov 31:6 KJV) Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

    Prov 24:1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

    (2 Cor 5:13 KJV) For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.

    (1 Th 5:8 KJV) But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

    (1 Tim 3:2 KJV) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

    (1 Tim 3:11 KJV) Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

    (Titus 1:8 KJV) But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

    (Titus 2:2 KJV) That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

    (Titus 2:4 KJV) That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

    (1 Pet 1:13 KJV) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

    (1 Pet 4:7 KJV) But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

    (1 Pet 5:8 KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

    (Eph 5:18 KJV) And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

    You cannot judge me??

1 Corinthians 10:31 (King James Version) Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (King James Version) 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
'
Christians are always to remain SOBER too.
'
1 Thessalonians 5:8 (King James Version) 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
.
Sober, obedient and not given to lusts of the flesh. 1 Peter 1:13-14 (King James Version) 13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
'
Some people try to sugar coat it all wrongfully but we do need harsher restrictions on the sale and marketing of all alcoholic beverages (restrictions such as advertising bans and higher taxes) for the end effect of Alcohol on many of the individuals ultimately is no different than smoking or using illegal drugs, such as marijuana, crack, cocaine and heroin..
'
Impaired means when Mental awareness, alertness and function do also come under a dulling, slowing effect. This hinders our mental ability in everyday activity and restricts or cuts off our mental fellowship with the Holy Spirit speaking to our mind from our spirit. A person who has the smoking or drinking habit, in honesty, must label themselves an “addict” too. in bondage to Satan and the flesh and the lust thereof. Alcoholism, Smoking, lying, stealing, slander is demonic, which is why it is so hard to stop on your own and they all are not compatible with the Christian experience. These sinful problems are next forcing negative consequences on other “innocent” people Co-workers, family and even children are victims
'
.““Dr. Daniel Akin, President of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary has written an article in favor of the famous Resolution #5 (Resolution calling for total opposition to alcohol). Alcohol is the number one drug problem among teenagers. (1 Cor. 8:13; 9:19-22; 10:32-33). Because I am an example to others, I will make certain no one ever walks the road of sorrow called alcoholism because they saw me take a drink and assumed, “if it is alright for him it is alright for me.” No, I will choose to set an uncompromising example of abstinence because I love them. I will seek my joy and filling in the Spirit not in alcohol. I love the Phillips translation of Ephesians 5:18 which reads, “Don’t get your stimulus from wine (for there is always the danger of excessive drinking), but let the Spirit stimulate your souls.” Psalm 4:7-8 adds, “You [O Lord] have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” There is no record that Jesus drank strong drink, As a pastor or church leader, would I demand abstinence for leadership? Absolutely"
'
 The principle of Proverbs 31:4-5 is appropriately applied here, “It is not for Kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to take strong drink, lest they drink and forget what has been decreed and pervert the rights of all the afflicted.” “PM Stephen Harper the pretender evangelical as well.. is not the first time he wrongfully gave alcoholic beverages to others, and what next?
'.
(1 Cor 11:28 KJV) But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Gal 5:23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].
.
If you took 2 martinis or 2 beers a day you are an alcoholic. Alcoholism is a crime and not a disease, it is a crime, it is just as lethal, bad, and it is really unacceptable as selling or taking bad drugs too. Alcohol causes irreversible brain damage, and it next also hurts serverely many others undeniably too.. “And children of parents with substance abuse problems are more likely to be physically abused. Furthermore, parents with substance abuse problems are less likely to hold a job or be able to care for their kids.
.
1 Cor 6:10 Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers {and} slanderers, nor extortioners {and} robbers will inherit {or} have any share in the kingdom of God.
.
In reality Genuine Born Again, Evangelical, Christians are total abstainers from smoking, drugs, alcohol, cheating, lying, stealing, tax evasions, pornography, or rather all personal vices, all impairments but sadly that cannot be said generally of all of  the other professing Christians as we tend to readily see and kow.
Canada’s bad drug problem, drunk driving, alcoholism is increasing not just amongst the teens, but also in the work place, in the government now as well even amongst the civil and public servants.
.
“ Results from a national survey of more than 1,000 human resource professionals nationwide found that 67% consider addiction and substance abuse to be among the most serious problems in the workplace.
.
 Most major home violence, car or truck accidents are still associated with alcohol now too and not speeding. It’s a fact that drinking alcohol can seriously damage one’s health and cause permanent brain damage as well .Alcohol may lead to liver problems, a variety of cancers as well as forms of osteoporosis and depression, and studies are showing, too, that women are more susceptible to the ill effects of alcohol than are men.
.
A man is certainly known what he is like by the friends he keep and having an brain damaged alcoholic as a friend, as a drinking buddy is really no virtue, it is a sad recommendation, a poor reference that you cannot even be now proud off.
.
40 per cent of people detained by the Police  attributed their offence to alcohol.
.
Now too many Canadian persons have noticed that we have much too many alcoholics in the governments, even as elected ones, even as leaders and in churches too, and all of this is innacceptable too.
.
"I admit I had lost all respect for the supposedly great preacher Spurgeon who was so ready to preach to others about their sins, but he himself now could not resist the Temptation of a cigar. Similar we find out that other preachers could not give up smoking too.. Look at this reference in regard to AB Simpson, the past founder of the Christian Missionary Alliance denomination now too. “The Man, the movement, and the mission-A documentary of the C&MA” Cut directly from their national web site. It was the custom for the ministers of the district to meet together to discuss all things common. This little reunion, in its proper sequence, was held one day at the Manse. And unaccountably strange odor of tobacco smoke began to steal upstairs. Suddenly the study door flew open and a towering figure of fury – all of four feet, one inch in its stocking feet – stood at the threshold. “SMOKING! Out of this house!” said Grannie Simpson, and in a body the ministerial association moved."
.
Why are the smokers, alcoholics always in denial that they are in sin by their bad, unhealthy consumptions? and why do they also too often lie, cheat, steal also now? Because if they do admit the truth they are alcoholics, sinners too they do have now also to repent of the sin of disobeying God’s word about being drunk too.. so they take the ostrich denial approach instead too often. Alcoholism still is a sin of a deliberate, personal choice, and to be set free you have to admit your sin, confess it, renounce it, ask God for forgiveness through Jesus Christ as well..
.
To receive complete freedom from these sinful bondages, the Christian trueBeliever must see his “habit” or being “hooked” as a spiritually rooted problem and confess it as a deliberate sin of Disobedience to God too. Acknowledging lust, Alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes, drugs, lying, stealing, marijuana and smoking as sin is prerequisite.
.
” Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise” Proverbs 20:1;
.
“Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder” Proverbs 23:29-32; “But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment. For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean” Isaiah 28:7-8.
.
and what about Christ – he didn’t sin. yet he consumed wine? How little you know about the Bible even.. the Greek words for the wine he consumed was grape juice, no fermented wine, juice....

Christ was seen in the Christian person's lives by the evidence of the Holy Spirit anointing. Christians like Jesus are known firstly for the Christo experience of being anointed with the Holy Ghost and power .. (Acts 10:38 KJV) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.... after the essential water Baptism God desires to have a Spirit Baptism and Baptize us all with his Holy Spirit too if we let him Unlike each of you, my own mind also did not know, comprehend beforehand what God has in store, had prepared for us, or his requirements for us even to become a Christian, as well as to become Baptized in the Holy Sprit and much more.. Yes the True Christians even these days Are Holy Ghost Baptized and they know they have received such a personal experience.. even as evidenced by speaking in tongues Keep in mind, there are two distinct phases of the one baptism in Christ. Jesus says in John 3:5 that ”Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” I repeat, water baptism is repentance, and spirit baptism is Holy Ghost fire and power. When we are truly Born Again (John 3:3), which is the Phase One baptism, there is a change in us that radiates on the outside of us, enabling all to see that something different has occurred in our lives. When we are truly Born Again, there is a new attitude towards The Lord Jesus Christ, toward His Word which becomes Spirit and life in us (John 6:63), making us, IF we will surrender, Believers who walk in of His Word. As one truly Born Again, we have a new attitude toward other Believers, toward prayer, toward life in general, toward death, and toward sin (hating it with a passion). When we are truly Born Again, dead to the old order in our lives - we start anew by not doing the things we used to do (nightclubs, alcohol, smoking, homosexuality, sex outside of marriage, winking our eye at sin around us, cheating, stealing, lying, and so on).
