Spiritual Gifts

1 Pet 3:15  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
.
Some people would say that there are spiritual gifts that God instills in us from our human birth and what specifically are they?.. I was unaware of these gifts they claim God gave us specifically are they not the Holy Spirit gifts?

Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
.
.. 1 Cor 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. :2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
.
I know you receive Spiritual Gifts after you are Baptized with the Holy Spirit from God, Jesus, Holy Spirit .Rom 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good 1 Cor 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 1 Cor 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

1 Cor 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: :11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
.
1 Cor 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? :31 But covet earnestly the best gifts:
. .
.these best gifts are what? 1 Cor 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
.
1 Cor 14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. 13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
.
also Eph 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
.
It is absolutely amazing how many varied and different unbiblical reasons, arguments people still do give you why they do not have to pray in the spirit, be relatedly Baptized with the Holy Spirit.. most of these people read what other men say and they do not listen to God firsthand here too.
I am basically not at all surprised that some people are so very falsely, dramatically opposed to the gifts of the holy spirit, praying and speaking in tongues included.. because decades I was there myself, when I was a Baptist.. I do admit that I then did not want to accept the fullness of God being offered by God, Jesus, Christ, the Holy Sprit cause I had wanted first, also to experience what the world, devil, flesh had to offer.. and wasted and regretted years later they had noting good to ever offer as I had seen, just a wasteful life with out God.. so next it was very easy for me to surrender to the baptism of the Holy spirit as evinced by speaking in tongues and to expect the joy, peace, power, empowerment that came with it..
.
HOW TO BE BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT (Rom 12:1 KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
.
Thus the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a term used to describe a movement of the Spirit upon and/or within a believer usually WHEN THE PERSON SI SAVED OR AFTERWARDS DEEPENING ON HOW MUCH OF THEIR LIFE THEIR PERSON SURRENDERS TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. MANY PERSONS TILL ONLY INITIALLY GIVE PIECEMEAL, SMALL PORTIONS FO THEIR LIFE TO GOD AND NEVER SURRENDER TO THE COMPLETE WILL OF GOD FOR THEM.. now still there are many Christians who have had this “secondary” experience of the Spirit. after they had fully died to self, stop living in the kingdom of self, gave their whole life unto Jesus Christ, God, the holy spirit. They next do say that it has brought great blessing and comfort to them. Furthermore, they say that the results of the experience is a renewed dedication and appreciation for God, a stronger desire to read the Bible, a stronger desire to fellowship with Christians, and a deeper sense of worship of God. Millions of Christians who claim to have had this experience
.
The term “baptize with the Holy Spirit” occurs several times in scripture but many persons falsely try to deny what it means.. cause they are not ready to serve God 100 percent still.
.
Matt. 3:11, “As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
Mark 1:8, “I baptized you with water; but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Luke 3:16, “John answered and said to them all, ‘As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
John 1:33, “And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, “He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the one who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 1:5, “for John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
Acts 11:16, “And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
.
all evidenced now by personally speaking in tongues. When people were baptized in the Holy Spirit in the New Testament church, the Bible says they all spoke in tongues (see Acts 2:1-4, Acts 4:31, Acts 10:44-48 and Acts 19:1-7).
.
.. so some never receive it because they falsely refuse to give all to Jesus Christ…..
.
.1 Cor. 14:5 “I would like every one of you to speak in tongues.”
1Cor. 14:39 Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, andDo not forbid speaking in tongues.
1 Cor. 14:1 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
1Cor. 14:2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. (This is prayer.) Indeed, no one (except God) understands him; he utters mysteries (in prayer and worship to God) with his spirit.
1 Cor. 14:4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies (spiritually strengthens) himself (and draws close to God in prayer that exalts Jesus in an expression of supernatural worship), but he who prophesies edifies (strengthens) the church (both himself and others). 1Cor. 14:13 For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says.
1 Cor. 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 1Cor. 14:15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit (praying to Jesus in a Spirit-given language), but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
.
"Surely there must be very valid, scriptural reasons for “praying in the Spirit”, or God would not have instituted this to “Pray in the Spirit” available to all Christian Believers as the initial “sign” of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, while others do also have the “gifts of the Gift of tongues ” which He set in the church Acts 2:4; I Corinthians 12:28). These both are now separate gifts.. To “pray in the Spirit” and purpose of speaking in tongues and each of the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit is to HELP US GET CLOSER TO GOD! Therefore speaking in tongues, like all gifts from God, is VERY GOOD!
.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is clearly promised to all of the believers in the Word of God, but one cannot receive this blessing until he has gotten over his doubts and fears, or any doctrinal problems concerning the validity of this experience for today. All god’s promises are appropriated by faith. When some Christians who desire the baptism in the Holy Spirit seem unable to receive this experience, or those who have received the baptism can speak only a few words in tongues, often it is the result of some form of past, unrepentant major sin or a past unrepentant occult involvement.
.
Now as per the separate Church used “gift of tongues” is one of the nine charismatic gifts of the Spirit and consists of many tongues or languages (‘divers kinds of tongues,’ I Corinthians 12:10), which are for the purpose of ministering to the Body of Christ. It is in reference to these charismatic gifts that Paul asks: ‘…are all workers of miracles? have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?” (I Corinthians 12:29-30).
.
We are admonished several times in Scripture to personally often “pray in the Spirit” as this is the means by which we edify ourselves, worship God, and minister on behalf of others (I Corinthians 14:2,4; Acts 10:46; Ephesians 6:18). Paul speaks of praying “in the Spirit” and praying “with the understanding” (I Corinthians 14:15). Every Christian uses prayer with the understanding to strengthen himself and to pray for his and others’ needs, as well as for praising and worshiping God. He certainly does not wait until he “feels’ an anointing before praying in English for these purposes. How much more then should he not wait upon some “feeling” before praying in the Spirit, especially. .
.
To believe that God would ever give us an experience except that which is sacred and holy, or to think that the manifestation of His Presence in us would not glorify Him, is, of course, out of the question since it makes uS falsely belive we are superior to God and his will for us
.
Perhaps the greatest hindrance to the continuation of speaking in tongues on the part of many Christians results from the simple fact that they have never been taught that they should pray regularly in the Spirit.
.
Every Spirit-filled believer, as a consequence of his baptism in the Holy Spirit and his ability to pray in tongues, has been supernaturally endowed with a three-fold charismatic ministry of prayer in the Spirit. This ministry involves: personal ministry for oneself, devotional ministry to God, and an extended ministry on behalf of others.Although a Divine Holy Spirit anointing experience may at times accompany our prayer in the Spirit, it is essential that we understand that the experience of speaking in tongues is always initiated by an act of faith on our part in precisely the same manner in which we initially received the baptism in the Spirit (Galatians 3:2,14, “by faith”). Every Holy Ghost Baptized Spirit-filled believer can pray in the Spirit at any time he wishes if he will lift up his voice and speak in faith and intercession."http://achristiancounselor.com/tongues.html
.
From the first century to the present, effective Christians have been changing the world dramatically! From Apostle Paul to Martin Luther, Elizabeth Fry to Corrie ten Boom, so I have to say I am realy amazed how many non Pentecostal spiritually shallow persons there are even here, their petty posts on the net now do not have much great depth or too much valid spiritual content.. it must reflect their daily lives now too.. and clearly indicates they realy have not been Baptized yet by the Lord Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit. Too many persons now they are trying to change others when they firstly do need to be changed.. The PROFESSING Christian people who do not speak in tongues included
